ABOUT US

Sougo is a casual dining vegetarian restaurant in the Roppongi neighborhood of Tokyo.
Our speciality cuisine is Sojin Ryori. This is an ancient plant-based style of cooking established in 13th century Japan by Zen Buddhist monks. The dishes made in the Shojin Ryori tradition are meat free, distinctive for their beauty and purity. They convey the profound spirit of Buddhism, the beauty of the seasons, and respect for all living things.

While upholding the traditions of Shojin Ryori, chef / owner Daisuke Nomura brings a fresh and modern approach to his offerings with new preparations and unexpected touches.
Whether you are a vegetarian, a vegan, or usually a meat eater, we are sure that you will enjoy the dining experience and flavors at Sougo. We look forward to welcoming you with our heartfelt sincerity and the grace of the Shojin Ryori philosophy.
